This past summer I taught a graduate seminar course at McMaster University titled Architectures of Digital Ecosystems as part of their Master of Public Policy Program. It provided an excellent opportunity to explore and provide an overview of the current evolution of digital platforms and worlds.
I was invited to participate in a panel of the digitization of farming and agriculture at the 2022 editions of Canada's Farm Show in Regina. I appear semi-regularly on The Social on CTV to talk about accessible technology topics. In this segment, we talk about the ways in which technology is making it possible for people to age in place with autonomy and agency.
We hypothesize that there are a lot of people who have previously been excluded from the workforce for a wide range of reasons who are now in a position to be part of it. This ranges from relatively to low skill to highly specialized and talented.
