Great post, the passion really came through...
I agree with almost everything you said on your video.
I'm not so much worried about everyday Canadians getting punished for breaking these draconian copyright laws, but more concerned that this is just another example of the out of touch and irrelevant thinking behind many of our lawmakers.
The result is a legal void where copyright laws are largely ignored by everyday Canadians, which doesn't do artists and copyright owners any good at all.
More work needs to be done on establishing a better legal sharing platform, and better definitions of fair use.
